1、 According to different installation locations, it can be mainly divided into three categories: structural, specialized, and decorative.
1. Structural building materials: mainly refer to the parts used for building the main body of a building. Common materials include cement materials, wood materials, engineering plastics, concrete materials, various stones, bricks, tiles, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, glass, steel bars, and so on.
2. Decorative building materials: mainly refer to decorative surface materials used for building surfaces, which can be roughly divided into indoor and outdoor situations, including various coatings such as latex paint, paint, putty powder, decorative glass, wall tiles, floor tiles, wallpaper, wall cloth, skirting board, etc.
3. Specialized building materials: mainly refer to materials used for special purposes within buildings, including waterproof materials (waterproof coatings or rolls, etc.), moisture-proof materials, sound insulation materials (sound-absorbing cotton, etc.), insulation materials (nano thermal insulation board, extruded board, aluminum silicate needle punched felt), fireproof coatings, sealing materials (glass glue, structural glue), etc.
2、 According to their different chemical properties, they can be mainly divided into three categories: organic building materials, inorganic building materials, and composite building materials.
1. Organic building materials: refers to building materials made from organic synthetic materials, including wood, asphalt materials, plastics, various adhesives, and coatings, etc.
2. Inorganic building materials: refers to building materials made mainly from inorganic materials, including glass materials, metal materials, ceramic materials, and natural stone, etc.
3. Composite building materials refer to building materials made from two or more materials with different properties, including asphalt concrete, thermoplastic carbon fiber composite materials, polymer concrete, JS composite waterproof materials, and so on.
